Randatum

Randatum is an offline-first desktop random-data studio. All computation happens locally on your computer — no network, no uploads.

How do I install it?

macOS: Open the downloaded package, drag Randatum into your Applications folder, and open it from Launchpad or Applications.
Windows: Run the installer (.exe), follow the wizard, then launch from the Start menu.

Will my data be uploaded?

No. Randatum is offline-first; all generation, import, statistics, and export happen locally. No sign-in, no network needed.

Why are two runs different?

Because no seed was set. Enter the same seed (numbers workspace) or the same 16-character lowercase hex seed (research workspace) to reproduce the same results.

Why did my CSV import fail?

Make sure the first column is named id, with no empty IDs, duplicate IDs, or rows with inconsistent column counts. Invalid CSV is rejected with a message.

I reordered the items and the result changed?

That's expected. Input order is part of the reproducibility contract; changing the order changes the random assignment.

What is sha256.txt in the reproducibility bundle for?

It verifies that each file wasn't tampered with or corrupted in transit. It proves origin and integrity — not randomness or fairness certification.

Does Randatum cost anything?

No. Randatum is completely free — no subscription, no in-app purchase, no account. Every feature works out of the box.

Is every feature really free?

Yes. Quick Random, all 17 field types and statistical distributions, CSV/TSV/JSON/JSONL export, simple/block/stratified grouping and sampling, repeated simulation, and full reproducibility packages are all free.
